A new, innovative courier service called Glovo XL is launching, which introduces a completely new dimension to deliveries. In this article, we will examine the details of this service, its unique features, and the benefits for both customers and couriers. 

As part of this service, the well-known supermarket chain Biedronka is meeting the expectations of its customers by offering a unique option of shopping delivered straight to the customer’s door by qualified couriers, known as Shoppers. This project offers a fast and convenient solution for people who value their time and comfort. 

New Glovo XL Service in Warsaw 

Warsaw, as the pulsating heart of Poland, is an ideal place to introduce innovative solutions in the courier industry. The city’s residents are increasingly seeking convenient, fast, and flexible delivery options that meet their daily needs. In response to these expectations, a new courier service has emerged, which not only makes life easier for customers but also opens up new earning opportunities for them. 

Separate Service for Couriers 

Glovo XL is designed with couriers – Shoppers in mind, who will serve as a bridge between Biedronka and its customers. Through this service, couriers have the opportunity not only to deliver purchases but also to fulfill them according to customers’ individual shopping lists. This dedicated service allows Warsaw residents to order groceries directly to their homes, with guaranteed same-day delivery. It’s a unique solution that combines the convenience of online shopping with the speed and flexibility of local courier delivery. 

How It Works? 

The shopping process starts with the customer placing an order on Biedronka’s dedicated website. The courier then accepts the order, makes the purchases, and payment for the products is made through the mobile application. Couriers deliver the purchases directly to the recipient, ensuring quick and efficient service. Orders are always placed at least 2 hours in advance, allowing couriers to properly plan their work. Settlements with couriers take place weekly, and rates depend on the value of the shopping basket. Thanks to this solution, customers can enjoy fresh products delivered straight to their doorsteps without leaving their homes. 

Benefits for Couriers 

The new courier service offers not only an additional source of income but also flexibility in choosing working hours. To join the program, couriers must meet several conditions: 

  • own a car; if they don’t have a car, they can rent one from our fleet RENT A CAR,
  • proficient in the Polish language,
  • undergo sanitary inspections at their own expense..

Equipment and Training for Couriers 

Each courier participating in the “Shopper” program receives necessary equipment, such as a bag and a styrofoam box for transporting frozen goods, for a small fee. This equipment can be purchased independently or provided during training organized by Glovo. The two-day training aims to prepare couriers for efficient and safe task execution and to address all Shopper’s concerns. 

Recruitment Process 

The recruitment process for the “Shopper” program is simple and consists of several stages, starting from candidate acquisition, through formalities, participation in Glovo training, to ordering equipment and gaining access to the order exchange. All of this ensures a smooth onboarding of couriers and allows them to quickly start in their new role.
