Obtaining a taxi license for your car is not difficult; you just need to know how to do it.
Where to start? From the basics! Check if your car has the necessary equipment, including:
- First aid kit,
- Warning triangle,
- Fire extinguisher,
- Spare wheel or repair kit,
- Reflective vest,
- TAXI sign on the roof.
If everything is in place, you can go to the Vehicle Inspection Station, where you need to undergo a taxi inspection. It costs only 43 PLN. After obtaining the document confirming its successful completion, head to the Transportation Department in your city. Don’t forget to bring your car’s registration document! At the Transportation Department, you can obtain a entry for free, allowing you to use your car as a taxi.*
The next step is to prepare for the licensing process, but luckily, we take care of that for you. You just need to send us the car documents. The issuance of the license extract usually takes from 7 to 20 business days, depending on the specific office.
We will inform you by phone about the day of receiving the license extract. Then you must appear in person at the office where the document is processed, together with an authorization for its collection issued by us. You should know that while working as a TAXI driver, you must always have the license extract with you.
The license is not the only requirement; there is also the matter of labeling the car according to the current regulations in your city. Side numbers and a price list are the absolute minimum you need. Don’t worry, though, our advisor will help you find out where to get the appropriate markings.**
