Changes in Glovo – What’s Happening and Why?
If you work as a Glovo courier under Avalon Logistics , we have important information for you. Starting June 29th, 2026, changes will take effect in the way revenues from the Glovo app are settled. This is a result of new EU regulations (the EU directive on platform work), which apply to couriers across Poland.
The most important change is simple: to continue working with Glovo, you need to have a signed mandate contract. If a courier needs legalization, they must start the process by July 17, 2026, otherwise the account may be blocked. We help with the formalities, and the whole process currently takes up to 30 days.

The Most Important Change: Only Mandate Contracts (umowa zlecenie)
From June 29, 2026, the accepted settlement forms for Glovo couriers are a service agreement (umowa zlecenie) and B2B cooperation. What does this mean in practice?
- Other forms of contracts will no longer be supported for Glovo
- It will no longer be possible to issue cost invoices (for fuel, parts, equipment)
- We do not process reimbursement of income earning costs
This change applies to all couriers cooperating with Glovo through Avalon Logistics.
Good News: 0 PLN Settlement Fee
Many couriers ask whether transitioning to the new rules will involve additional costs. The answer is simple: no. Avalon Logistics does not charge you any settlement fee for using the Glovo app. The fee is 0 PLN.
Amount in the Glovo App = Gross Amount
This is an important issue to keep in mind. What you see in the Glovo app is always the gross amount – that is, before tax and ZUS deductions. The amount credited to your bank account will be the net value, after deduction of:
- advance income tax payments
- social security contributions (ZUS)
The exact transfer amount depends on your individual situation and can range from 0% to even 30% tax deduction, for example depending on whether you are a student, have another job, or have gone over a certain income limit.
If you are a student under 26 years old, your gross salary = net salary.
What Are the Benefits of a Mandate Contract?
Switching to a mandate contract is not just an obligation – it also comes with specific benefits:

Glovo has announced that rate increases are planned in the near future for couriers. This is good news – changes in settlements should go hand in hand with higher earnings.

- If you haven’t received a message from us – your documentation is already complete, you don’t need to do anything

How long does it take and how much does it cost to get a work permit / legalization?
Currently, the legalization process takes up to 30 days. The waiting time for a permit is up to 30 days, and for a declaration up to 7 days.
The deposit for a declaration or permit is PLN 400.
– For couriers who already work with us on a rental-only basis and are switching to a mandate contract: PLN 400 deducted from settlements at PLN 100 per week.
– For new couriers: PLN 400 paid once.
What does the gross amount in the app mean?
The gross amount is the amount before contributions and taxes are deducted. This means that the take-home pay will be lower than the amount shown in the app, because the settlement will be based on a mandate contract. Tax deductions may range from 0% to 30%.
Will my earnings be taxed and will taxes be deducted?
Yes, mandatory contributions and taxes resulting from the mandate contract will be deducted from your pay. The amount of deductions depends on your situation, including your age and whether you also work somewhere else. Tax deductions may range from 0% to 30%. The exact amount paid out may be different for each person and is calculated individually.
Will I earn less after the changes?
No, Glovo has increased the rates so that the change in the settlement form does not reduce the final pay. Some people may even earn more than before.
Will it still be possible to issue invoices using the partner’s tax number?
No. With a mandate contract, it will no longer be possible to issue invoices using our tax number. This change will gradually apply to the entire courier industry.
Will there be additional settlement fees?
No, there will be no settlement fee in Glovo. The only exceptions are the additional services Instant Pay and Daily Payments.
Will my earnings be taxed and exactly how much will be deducted?
Yes, earnings under a mandate contract may be reduced by social security contributions and other mandatory deductions. The amount deducted depends on your tax situation:
– You are under 26 and you are a student / learner: 0%
– You are under 26 and you also work somewhere else: 9%
– You are under 26 and you do not work anywhere else: 19.25%
– You are over 26 and you do not work anywhere else: 27.82%
– You are over 26 and you also work somewhere else: 18.72%
